Is There Some Relief From The Truck Driver Shortage?

While there is plenty of cargo that needs trucks to move across the nation, there is a crucial shortage of drivers to get behind the wheel.

According to USA Today, the rising cost of fuel and tough economic times have incresed the number of truckers looking for jobs and drivers to the companies that need them. With some trucking companies reducing fleet size, drivers are seeking new employment.

The shortage of truck drivers is far from over. Industry experts expect that by 2014, the nation will require 1.7 million truck drivers on the roads.
